WHO WE ARE

A worldwide volunteer organization,Kiwanis Internationalwas founded in 1915 in Detroit and now with headquarters in Indianapolis.

Kiwanis helps kids around the world. Local clubs - like ours here in Barrie, ON - look out for our communities, and the international organization takes on large-scale challenges, such as disease and poverty. We are generous with our time. We are creative with our ideas. We are passionate about making a difference. And we have fun along the way.

The Kiwanis Club of Barrie was started in 1922 and is the longest serving Service Club in Simcoe County. On August 15, 2022 we celebrated 100 years of service to the Greater Barrie Area.

Membership includes individuals who wish to make the community a better place by providing their volunteer efforts.

Supporting the community requires volunteers. The Kiwanis Club of Barrie is always looking for new members who are interested in making their community and the world around them a better place to live for the millions of children and youth who benefit greatly from the support we provide to meet their needs. As well, you will enjoy the fellowship and friendships you will make that will last a lifetime.

Every dollar counts; please make a donation when you are in the store and help the Kiwanis Club of Barrie get the necessary school supplies to our kids in the community.

KEMPENFEST IS FAST APPROACHING AUGUST 1-3

Kempenfest is fast approaching and the Kiwanis Club of Barrie is ready to feed the hungry.. August 1-3 at the waterfront, Come to the event, enjoy the crafts and visit us for breakfast or lunch. We have back bacon on a bun, burgers, dogs and the best fries and gravy anywhere at the event.. All revenue goes to support our many service programs and projects in the community..

We have 2 booths at the waterfront and always looking for volunteers, feel free to join us. If you wish to volunteer call Chuck 705-252-1115. We will even sign off on those volunteer hours for our high school students.

Kiwanis Staples program kicks off

Our Kiwanis team is kicking this years program off in style with our Staples partners. Join us at Barrie Staples north, South or Midland stores and make your donation count. Your generosity helps us donate much needed school supplies and equipment to our children and schools. The campaign has begun and runs until Sept 28th.
